LandAndSee

Privacy

This explains what LandAndSee collects, why, and how you stay in control of it — in plain language, not legal boilerplate.

What we collect

Just what you choose to add to your profile: your name, a short introduction (your “Anam”), a town or region, an optional photo, skills, and anything you post — trade listings, marketplace items, projects, and events. We don't collect anything speculatively, and we don't track you around the web.

Your location stays vague by default

Profiles and listings show your town or region, never an exact address, unless you specifically choose to add one to a listing (for example, a farm stand people can visit directly). It's opt-in, listing by listing.

Messages, blocking, and reporting

Direct messages are only ever visible to the two people in the conversation. If someone blocks you, you can no longer message them. Reports are reviewed by a person before anything happens — nothing is auto-actioned, so the system can't be gamed to silence someone unfairly.

How your data is stored

Authentication, passwords, and the database all run on Supabase, an established, independently audited provider — not something we built ourselves. Your password is never visible to us in plain text.

We don't sell your data

Your personal data is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising or profiling. LandAndSee doesn't run ads.

Deleting your account actually deletes it

From your profile page, you can permanently delete your account. This isn't deactivation — it removes your profile, skills, listings, photos, projects, events, messages, and blocks entirely. There's no way to recover it afterwards, and no copy is kept.
